Amanda is an independent young women that lives on her own in Midland, Michigan. With her half-power standing wheelchair, she is able to move about her home seamlessly. The manual standing lever allows her to lift herself into a standing position with ease, which makes it easier to cook, retrieve items from cabinets, and accomplish other tasks that are much more difficult when seated. She also works at a local boutique candy shop.
Doing simple everyday tasks for Amanda wasn’t easy in a conventional wheelchair. With her standing wheelchair, she is able to live on her own terms.
