Standing Wheelchair Enables Arek to Stand with Ease
Arek, a Florida teen, wanted to stand for the flag honoring our country and our Veterans during a local parade. Arek’s conventional wheelchair made this very difficult, but that didn’t stop him from trying to stand. Touched by his story, The Standing Company donated Arek his first manual Superstand standing wheelchair. After ten years in a conventional wheelchair, it was a welcome change for him.
Arek, now stands everywhere! He is now able to do everyday tasks that he wasn’t able to do previously, giving him a better quality of life.
